It's definitely fall

One of the things that I love about our house is that we have big, leafy trees. One of the things that I hate about our house is that we have big, leafy trees. Saturday, the weather was very nice, so we spent the afternoon raking up all of the leaves in our yard (there are so many!!!). And the sad thing is, we'll probably have to do it again, because there are still leaves on the big tree in our front yard. Anyway, it was actually kind of fun, and Millie had a great time. She even tried to help at times.

The rest of the time, she spent devising plans to run into the street or to our neighbor's yard. She wasn't too successful, though, because she kept telling on herself. "No, no!" she says as she prepares to step off the curb. :) We'll see how long it takes before she figures out to keep her mouth shut when she knows shes doing something she's not supposed to.

She's got the raking thing down.

Millie brings her little handful of leaves to the garbage bag.

Trying to figure out how to open the garbage bag like Dad does.

It's actually more fun to play in the leaves than pick them up.

Ahh. All picked up... (for about ten minutes).
